Comunique Covid 19
This global Pandemic is a rapidly evolving situation that keeps changing daily preventing us from predicting how long will it take to return to our normal lives.
The organisation has been meeting regularly to discuss all updates related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Portuguese prime minister António Costa declared a state of emergency on March 18, 2020. In consideration of this and guided by Lisbon municipal government leaders to undertake all possible measures to safeguard public health, the Lisbon Eco Marathon Organisation, concurs with the authorities’ decision that this type of events cannot be held before at least, 31st May 2020.
On matters of public health and safety we take our guidance from the officials entrusted with protecting the public in this area, andunderstand our role, along with our partners, in ensuring a safe environment for all participants, volunteers, spectators, and supporters that meets the standards set by the official authorities.
Regarding all this, the organisation has decided to postpone Lisbon Eco Marathon 7th edition, for next year, on May 2nd 2021.
All registrants were previously contacted by the organization. All registrations will still be valid in the registered category. If you’re registered but have not received an email from the organization, please contact us by email: email@example.com
We’re really sorry about this forced situation, and would like to thank in advance for everyone’s comprehension. These have been tough and intense days for us until having reached this final difficult decision. But our mission of promoting health through sports, always guides our organisation.
Stay at home, stay safe, save lives. We hope to return soon to celebrate life in an even more special way.
